The Ethics of Care

Respecting the Source & the Hands

In Norway, we are taught from a young age that we are guests in nature. We do not take from Nature. We take something to give something in return. At Little Mino, we value nature, and what we take are meant to last. We believe that the energy of how a garment is made, from the pasture to the final stitch—matters just as much as the fiber itself.

A Mulesing-Free Environment

The most hidden cruelty in the wool industry is a practice called mulesing. While common in large-scale industrial farming, we strictly refuse it. All wool curated by Little Mino is certified Mulesing-Free. We choose farms where the sheep are seen as living beings, not just units of production. The wool used in our garments are only made of the purest wool, taken by the sheep as a result of good care for the animals.

Clothing Made with Love & Purpose

Ethics do not stop at the farm. Our ethical standards go past trends and fancy badges. We care for the hands creating the garments and only partner with brands supporting substantial wages in safe work conditions and these standards are extend trough all the chains all the way to the children who will wear our clothes and those who need our help most. Through our partnership with Lillelam, we support global charities like SOS Children’s Villages and Save the Children. Since 2005, Lillelam has been a lifeline for families in Moldova, providing warmth and care to handicapped children, ensuring they can grow up within their own families rather than in institutions.

"A small price tag is often a loud warning. While it might seem as a good investment in the moment, it will not last. It's made for you to consume and for you to consume again. You cannot confirm animal welfare or human dignity on a budget; true ethics require investment in the land and the hands that tend it."

The Human Thread: Who Made Your Clothes?

Our Lillelam collection is manufactured in Europe (Lithuania and Poland) in family-owned factories where generations of tailors work in safe, ethical, and flexible environments.

We stand with the Fashion Revolution, choosing transparency over speed. From the spinning mills in Germany to the tailors in Lithuania who have spent 20 years perfecting their craft, we know the people behind the seams. We don't look for the cheapest option; we look for the most pure one.

Knowledge is how we protect them.
